SetDPI (setdpi.com) is an independent, one-person site of free image DPI tools and guides. This page is the full privacy policy. A shorter note still sits on the homepage.
Your images never leave your device. Whether a page is rewriting DPI metadata or only reading it, SetDPI does that work entirely in your browser — there is no upload, no server-side processing, and no copy of your file anywhere but your own computer. The pages are static files. There is no account, no sign-up, and no image database.
Dropping a file uses the browser's File API. The DPI changer rewrites the density tag (JFIF/EXIF for JPG, pHYs for PNG) locally and offers the result as a download. The DPI checker only reads that tag. Go offline after the page has loaded and the tool still works — that is the check. Nothing in this site's code uploads your picture.
The site loads two analytics scripts — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — plus Google AdSense, described below. Both set cookies. Neither is tied to a name or an account, because the site has neither.
G-D7MHQW8G6N) — page views and events. GA4 uses your IP address to derive a coarse location (country, region, city). Google states it does not log or store individual IP addresses for visitors from the EU, Switzerland, and the UK. This site sends GA4 exactly one event of its own, and only when a file is rejected: the file's extension, and nothing else — not the name, not the size, not a single byte of the image.xne51u96hs) — session replays and heatmaps, used to spot usability problems. Clarity records pointer movement, clicks, scrolling, and the content shown on the page. The file name shown beside a preview is masked, so Clarity records the space it occupies but not the text. The image itself is never sent; a replay shows the page, not your picture. How long each provider keeps that data is set by its own retention policy, not by a setting here. Their terms are in Google's privacy policy and Microsoft's privacy statement.
You can block both with a content blocker or by disabling cookies. That does not affect the DPI tool. Google's Analytics opt-out add-on turns off Google Analytics on every site, not just this one.
Pages load Google AdSense so Google can serve ads. AdSense uses cookies, including for ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info.
How Google uses data when a site uses its services, including advertising, is explained at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The homepage footer shows a badge image served from SaaSHub's CDN. Loading that image lets SaaSHub see your IP address and browser string. It sets no cookie, and it is on the homepage only. Tool pages do not include it.
SetDPI runs no server and keeps no database. There is no account to look up and no form that collects a name, email, or photo. The only copies of analytics or advertising data are the ones held by Google and Microsoft under their own policies. An email you choose to send to support@setdpi.com is ordinary mail: it is not a form on this site, and you should not attach images — see the contact page.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to access personal data held about you, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You can also complain to your supervisory authority without going through this site first.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what is collected and who receives it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Nothing here is sold for money. Every tool is free, with no account and no paid tier, so there is nothing to withhold. The CCPA treats disclosing identifiers for cross-context behavioural advertising as "sharing". Google AdSense may do that when it serves personalized ads. Opt out at the links in the advertising section above, or block the scripts.
An access or erasure request sent here has no image record and no account record to act on. The parties that hold analytics and advertising data are Google and Microsoft. Blocking their scripts stops further collection immediately, without a request to anyone. Global Privacy Control, where your browser sends it, is a valid California opt-out signal.
